- I look less like Frankenstein (well neck wise that is, facially - ahem!)
- no more painkillers
- less tired
- I was showered and dressed before 8 am!
- I want to be doing so much more that just watching Jeremy Kyle
- I think that I can start to rub cream into my scar (gently) and
- my children are now looking at my face when we talk as opposed to grimacing at my scar.
I need to make another Bara Brith today, as when school ended yesterday a swarm of hungry locusts entered and demolished it apart from a few crumbs. I don't normally put cherries into the mix but I had some luxury dried fruit left over from Christmas cake making so I used that. They were very well received and now I HAVE to put them in! I also need to do some more sewing, my projects are mounting, and it is too easy too while away the time reading the endless amazing blogs that are out there. First project to complete is a cushion for my cousin - her birthday was the end of January so I'm relatively on time! I'm going to get on with my sewing now. Catch you later x

Ingredients
8oz self raising flour
1 tsp mixed spice
6oz brown sugar
1 egg
12oz dried mixed fruit
1/2 pt strong cold tea
Soak the dried fruit in the tea overnight. Mix the ingredients together then put the fruit in last. Cook for about an hour on 180 c. (My excitement at getting a link to work yesterday is short lived as I can't get a degrees symbol for the temperature. :( Oh dear! )
Then sit back with a slice (Buttered is optional) and a cup of tea. Dydd da! (have a good day)

It has not been much of a half term holiday for the children, so yesterday we were all going to go to an all you can eat buffet. It was rather ambitious on my part as I wasn't feeling very well and so I cried off. Everyone else went and I settled down under my duvet to enjoy the rare pace and quiet. I was left with strict instructions to rest!!
They hadn't been gone long when the phone rang, so I answered with my 'new' voice (slightly butch/masculine) to hear husband saying to me 'Hello Mr Jillecymraeg can I speak to your wife?'. Then he laughs to himself. In total I had 5 of these phone calls and in each one he found himself to be as hilarious as the first!
Before we got up this morning husband turned to me excitedly (steady!) and said I have got some great ideas for tattoos. Yes he says pointing to my scar, we could have one that says 'cut here', or how about a motorbike as it looks like a track, possibly a steam train? Then he chuckles to himself and turns over.
Oh the fun in our house is endless!
