Send a Little Love Swap

I joined up with the Send a Little Love Swap which I blogged about here. I was partnered with the very lovely Anne of  Nana GoGo, I have been partnered with Anne before so it was like meeting up with a friend.
After a few emails back and forth swapping details and such like it was time to get on with the actual business of swapping. My gifts arrived this week and I have been thoroughly spoilt. Look at all the loveliness that arrived in my parcel! Thank you so much Anne!

New Year, New Swap

It's been a while since I've done a swap, especially through my blog, so I was quite delighted to discover that Tracy is hosting her Send a Little Love Swap again. I suppose I was  really hoping that this one was still going ahead, just to confirm that not everything has changed in blogland during my semi-absence. She's done this for a number of years now and I've just checked back, it was 2014 when I last joined in this swap. Maybe a little overdue don't you think?

Hello!

I will ignore the fact that I have just been missing from Blogland for an absolute age and am just going to go straight into the long over due post of my latest swap. I was so lucky to have been partnered with the lovely LindyLaine for the 'Send a little love Swap' arranged by Tracy over at Mad about Bags blog. I had some lovely gifts sent to me. I have wanted to make a wrist pin cushion for an absolute age but never got round to it.  Look at the lovely neat blanket stitch on this one! Mine would not have looked like that!

  These pretty peg magnets are already pinning important notes to my fridge.

 I love lighting candles but these are just too pretty to use!

 My new snuggly hot water bottle.  It is just so soft and lovely! With the temperatures dropping at the end of this week I may even get chance to use it again this season!

Any evidence of sweet things quickly disappeared I'm afraid and the camera didn't even have chance to click! Thank you so very much for my lovely, lovely gifts and for being a wonderful swap partner.

Swap

I knew I'd taken some photos of the swap gifts that I sent to Alex, I'm glad that I found them, although I did only take two pictures . Alex wanted to have a crochet garland and I was ever so worried that I wouldn't make a good job of it.  I have tried and tried until my crochet was up to scratch.  I made these medallions, some of them with flowers and others without. I then crocheted a long chain to attach them together.

I also crocheted one of the birds that I had long admired on Attic 24. I was really pleased how my gifts turned out.  It has also given me the confidence to try other crochet projects, so watch this space!

Blog swap

I have recently taken part in a swap with a wonderful blogger called Alex.  We sent lots of emails to and fro before we swapped our gifts.  Alex sent me the most wonderful stained glass garland.  It has lots of spring like flowers and little insects. My photos were taken when the weather wasn't good so they are against my table.  With the light shining behind them they are beautiful.

 I have taken these photos from Alex's blog because not only are her glass skills amazing, she also takes a mean photograph too! I do hope that she doesn't mind.

My swap gifts

My swap gifts have arrived from Joy over at Welcome to Daisy Row. When I opened the parcel and saw this fabric I was so very, very excited, it really is gorgeous!

I'm not quite sure how Joy managed to fit all these lovely gifts into the ice cream container, it was just like a tardis.  I am also really impressed as she has obviously studied my blog too! There was ribbon, thread, Yankee melt, bookmark, postcards, fridge magnet, post-it notes, book, pen, nasturtium seeds and chocolate (it semed to evaporate into thin air ;) )

She also made me three wonderful gifts as well as all the other gifts that she had collected together.  I feel so lucky.  Thank you so very much Joy, mine is on the way!

Now that I know that Victoria at Tangled sweet pea has received my swap gifts I can show you the things that I have sent to her...

The photo above shows the wrapped gifts along with a wooden red heart that I painted and decorated and a little 'love' garland that I made with an old Mills and Boons book (some people say that it is the best use of them ;-) .)

A belated swap post!

At last I am blogging about the fantastic gifts that I have received from the lovely Kezzie for the Christmas cracker swap. I know that it is a bit late but I have had some trouble with my laptop and although I can blog on my phone I cannot upload photographs despite my best efforts!

My cracker came wrapped in some sari-type fabric which was all sparkly and gorgeous.  I know that Kezzie also had trouble with decorating the buttons for my handmade jewellery - which makes them even more special.  Kezzie has put such a lot of thought and effort into my gifts that I am thrilled with all of them.  Thank you so very much Kezzie, I hope that the gifts that I have sent to you make you just as happy as yours have me!
I didn't mention that the bother that I have been having with my laptop is No 1 child, she seems to have taken ownership of it, all because she has started blogging! You can find her here.

Very Belated Birthday Post!

It was my birthday in December and I was fortunate to have lots of lovely gifts sent from some very kind blogging ladies.  I should have blogged about it way back then but for various reasons didn't.  However I am now, so, better very much later than not at all, I hope!  Thank you ladies for my wonderful gifts which brought much joy to some dark days.  You all know who you are and I am very very grateful.
